However, Eros himself falls for Psyche and secretly becomes her husband, visiting her only at night and forbidding her from seeing his true form. When Psyche's curiosity leads her to break this rule, Eros abandons her, and she must undergo a series of trials set by Aphrodite to prove her love. With divine intervention and perseverance, Psyche ultimately reunites with Eros and is granted immortality by Zeus, allowing them to be together forever.
